Can I use my insurance? : Yes, if your copay is less than $45 for a one-month supply of Zioptan, we will process your medication through your insurance. If your copay is more than $45 for a one-month supply of Zioptan, or if your insurance restricts coverage of Zioptan, orders will not be processed through insurance and you will pay $45 through the Akorn EyeRx Direct program.
Will the amount I pay be applied to my true out of pocket (TrOOP) costs for insurance, Medicare Part D, Medicaid or a similar state or federally funded program? : No.
ZIOPTAN® is a prescription sterile eye drop solution. ZIOPTAN® is used to lower the pressure in the eye (intraocular pressure) in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension when their eye pressure is too high.
